As a new type of material, SMC has developed a series of new products according to different specific uses and requirements.

Bulk molded material (BMC) is an improved type of premixed molded material, which can be used for molding and extrusion, and the difference between the two is the material form and manufacturing process. BMC has a lower fiber content, a shorter fiber length, and a larger filler content.

Thick sheet molded compound (TMC), with greater thickness, can be randomly distributed in glass fibers, which enhances the mixing effect of molded material, improves the fluidity during molding, and improves the wettability of resin to glass fibers, which can be used for injection and transfer molding.

High-strength molded material (HMC), no or less filler, fiber content of about 65%, glass fiber directional distribution, with good fluidity and molding surface, its product strength is about three times that of SMC.

High-strength sheet molded material (XMC), with directional continuous fibers, fiber content of 70~80%, no filler, all fibers are arranged in an X-shaped cross, the strength of the molded products in the fiber direction is five to eight times that of ordinary SMC molded products, and four times that of steel, mainly used in the manufacture of automotive parts.
